If you’re on a journey to parenthood and seeking natural fertility support, you’ve come to the right place.
At Acupuncture by Jena, I offer acupuncture care designed to support overall health and wellbeing during the fertility journey, including natural conception and alongside treatments such as IVF or IUI
Why Choose Fertility Acupuncture?
My goal is to support your health and wellbeing while you are trying to conceive. Treatment focuses on supporting factors that may influence fertility, while providing care that helps you feel more supported and balanced throughout the process.
Many people choose acupuncture as part of their fertility journey to support their menstrual health, reduce stress, and optimise overall wellbeing while trying to conceive.
Research suggests acupuncture may support aspects of reproductive health, and it is commonly used to help:
- Support healthy menstrual cycle regulation
- Encourage healthy circulation to the pelvic region
- Support ovulatory health
- Promote relaxation and reduce stress
- Support overall hormonal balance

Conditions Clients Often Seek Support For:
People may choose acupuncture while navigating fertility challenges such as:
- Unexplained infertility
- Endometriosis
- Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Irregular menstrual cycles
- Ovulatory irregularities
- Recurrent pregnancy loss
- Male fertility concerns such as sperm quality or motility

Acupuncture does not replace medical fertility care. Instead, it may be used as a complementary approach alongside medical guidance.

FERTILITY ACUPUNCTURE FOR MEN
Male Fertility
Fertility challenges can involve both partners. In many cases, supporting the health of both individuals can be an important part of the process.
Acupuncture and lifestyle support may help men address factors that influence reproductive health, including stress, lifestyle habits, and overall wellbeing.
When appropriate, I may also recommend working with your doctor to arrange a semen analysis to assess factors such as sperm count, motility, and morphology.

IVF SUPPORT
IVF
Many people choose to incorporate acupuncture alongside IVF treatment as part of a supportive care plan.
Acupuncture sessions are often scheduled before and during IVF cycles with the aim of supporting relaxation, stress management, and overall wellbeing during treatment.
Treatment plans are tailored individually and coordinated around the stages of your IVF cycle where appropriate.
Ideally, I advise clients to initiate their acupuncture sessions three months before their scheduled IVF procedure.
Strategically, acupuncture sessions are scheduled a few days before critical stages of your IVF procedure, such as egg retrieval and embryo transfer. Prior to the embryo transfer, the acupuncture treatment is designed to complement your procedure.
After the embryo transfer, I advocate for a post-transfer acupuncture session on the same day or within 24 hours.

TREATMENT DETAILS
Treatments
Your first visit with me is 70 minutes, while follow-up treatments are 50 minutes.
Initial Appointment: What to Expect
At Acupuncture by Jena, I value the importance of your initial visit, which begins with an in-depth consultation.
During this consultation, I ask a ton of detailed questions with each question being integral in shaping the ideal therapy tailored to your specific needs.
Then acupuncture points are skillfully selected based on your unique requirements and desired outcomes.
During your acupuncture session, fine needles are gently inserted and are typically left in place for approximately 25-45 minutes. This allows you to relax in the soothing ambiance of the treatment room, where your comfort is a priority.
Subsequent visits are generally shorter in duration and typically do not include a full consultation. Instead, I may engage in a brief discussion about the progress you’ve experienced and the changes and improvements you may have noticed in various aspects of your well-being, such as sleep quality, mood, and stress levels. This ongoing dialogue helps us ensure that your treatment plan remains aligned with your evolving needs and goals.
Frequency of Sessions
The frequency of acupuncture sessions depends on your individual situation. Treatment may be recommended once or twice per week to best support your fertility journey.
Note: Acupuncture is a complementary therapy and is not a substitute for medical fertility care or advice from your doctor

FAQ
How does acupuncture work for fertility?
Acupuncture is thought to influence communication between the nervous and hormonal systems and is commonly used to support reproductive health. Treatment may help support menstrual cycle regulation, ovulatory health, and overall hormonal balance. Many people also find acupuncture helpful for supporting relaxation, reducing stress associated with trying to conceive, and promoting overall wellbeing during the fertility journey.
Is acupuncture still beneficial if I’m on ovulation induction medication such as Clomifene?
Yes. Acupuncture can be used alongside your prescribed medication as a complementary approach. It is often used to support overall reproductive health and wellbeing during the fertility journey.
Should my husband come for acupuncture?
Because fertility can be influenced by factors affecting both partners, some couples choose acupuncture for both people during key times in the menstrual cycle. Treatment is often used to help support reproductive health, relaxation, and overall wellbeing throughout the fertility journey.
Does it hurt?
No, acupuncture is virtually painless. The needles used are fine and flexible, often compared to a human hair or a cat whisker. Most people find acupuncture extremely relaxing and even fall asleep during treatment.

Acupuncture is widely regarded as a safe complementary approach for those on a fertility journey. Choosing a certified, experienced practitioner is important for your safety and peace of mind. At Acupuncture by Jena, my focus is on providing professional, patient-centred care to support your wellbeing throughout this journey.
Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy?
Yes! Acupuncture is often used as a complementary approach during the first trimester. It is thought to support overall wellbeing and relaxation, and many people find it useful for coping with common pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, headaches, heartburn, or stress.
